What do you need?

• Spare tire with good air pressure
• Tire jack
• Tire iron (“L” shaped tool to remove wheel cover through unlocking the lug nuts)
• Wheel chocks (something to block the tire opposite the flat tire. You can use a large heavy brick)
• Warning triangle for those on the road

What are the steps to changing a flat tire?

1. Make sure your car is “park” and the emergency brake is on. The car must be on a flat surface. Do not attempt to change the flat tire if they car is on a slop or in the dirt. That is very important. To make sure they car doesn’t slip, place a heavy brick or other heavy object behind the wheel that it is opposite the flat tire. So, if the flat tire is on the front right wheel, put the brick behind the rear left wheel.
2. Once you’ve located the spare tire and see it has enough air pressure, you can begin changing out the flat. Use the L-shaped bar (tire iron) to loosen each lug nut of the wheel. However, don’t take them off yet! Once they are loose, move the jack underneath the vehicle until it is under the jack point. You can find out the location of this jack point from your user’s manual for the car. Then, start raising the jack by turning the knob at the end of the jack by using the metal hand crank. It will make contact with the bottom of the car’s frame. Continue cranking!
3. When the flat tire is completely off the ground, you can remove the lug nuts entirely. But, don’t toss them away! You’ll need them soon enough. Position the spare tire over the wheel studs. The spare should be hanging from the wheel studs if you do this correctly. This is not easy and requires heavy lifting and balance. Then, screw the lug nuts back in, using the tire iron to make sure they are closed securely. The wheel must fit easily and entirely against the brake hub.
4. Carefully lower the jack and then pull it away from the car. Once it is on the ground, tighten the lug nuts again and make sure they are completely tightened.
5. And that’s it! Congratulations. Put your flat tire where your spare tire was sitting previously. Be careful when you’re back on the road.

Beauty products are very costly if purchased in specialty salons.  Take the label of your favorite salon shampoo or conditioner and compare it to those in the discount stores.  Most shampoos will have a match or generic version for sale at department stores.  Haircuts are cheaper if done by a barbershop as opposed to the salon.  Men and women can both have their hair cut by the salon for much cheaper if they wash and style it themselves.
