Amberen Reviews: Popular, But Buyers Beware!

UPDATE: 6/19/13

First of all… Thanks so much for all the Facebook “likes” and the comments you all are sharing with the community here! It’s truly a great feeling that I’m helping others!

Anyway… I just recently discovered a new menopause product promising menopause relief called Kühl Care®. You can checkout their product at their official website here.

I have to say that I was quite intrigued with this, seems to be, “refreshing drink mix” you simply add to water.

I would love for anyone who is going to try Kühl Care® or have currently been using it… PLEASE come back and let us know how it’s working out for your symptoms! I’m curious!

TIA, Elizabeth

My personal review of Amberen

Elizabeth

Amberen has some skeletons in the closet that you need to be aware of before committing to this natural  menopause supplement because of the side effects and safety issues which we cover in depth (Links are in the “Did you Know” box below). I would like to share a personal story about me and my struggles with menopause and how Amberen impacted my life.

I heard about natural remedies for menopausal symptoms and the positive talk about Amberen, so I began my quest for knowledge and experience on and with the product. What I found and lived inspired me to write this review of Amberen. Make sure you read about the side effects and safety issues related to this supplement before starting.

Menopause, Amberen And Others

The alternative that my doctor pushed upon me was the Hormonal Replacement Therapy, or HRT. One aspect that discouraged me from HRT was that the drugs used are synthetic. Not only that, but they fail to be effective for many women. Finally, I looked at the health dangers involved with HRT. For me, this is what ultimately sealed the deal. HRT comes with serious complications, such as ovarian cancer, heart attacks, breast cancer and strokes, and since it only reduces the risks of menopause symptoms, I felt that there had to be a safer, more effective and natural alternative. So I researched my options by reading over a plethora of menopause articles and found some answers.

Upon First Glance

  • Amberen’s free trial offer
  • FDA approved
  • All-natural
  • 5-year clinical trials
  • Tested using randomized, placebo controlled, double blind trials

Clinical Trials Information

During my quest for facts, I learned that this product was tested on 32 menopausal women during a 5-year trial. It alleviated the symptoms and there were few side effects. During my extensive research, I also found that the product was tested using randomized, placebo controlled, double blind and cross over clinical trials. I was amazed and convinced that it was right for me after reading all the extensive information available.

I Began The Regime

I ordered my free trial with great hopes. I reviewed the additional information provided and then began using it immediately. You have to determine your dosage based on whether your menopausal symptoms are severe or moderate. Mine were severe, so I took the twice per day dosage, as opposed to the once per day dosage for moderate symptoms. You have to take the pills after breakfast and you must continue the course if you want it to work. I followed the instructions to the “T”. I was desperate to restore my mind and my body back to at least a somewhat normal state again.

My Results

Deep in my heart, I wanted immediate results, even though the instructions said that it takes 90 days. I took my two pills directly after breakfast, as directed, but I did not see results for a while and started to get a little worried. I had even called their free nurse-assisted customer care line twice for support. I was amazed to find out this was available to me even under my “free trial” period, so I took full advantage of it. The nurses that I talked to were very helpful in answering my questions and gave me the reassurance that I needed to continue onward with Amberen.

As I approached the end of the first two weeks of my trial, I finally started seeing results. I experienced 4 consecutive days without hot flashes, irritability or mood swings. These were issues that I had been enduring on a daily basis, which meant that my family was enduring them as well, so their disappearance made a huge difference. Yet, I think the biggest benefit was that I actually felt alive again. I had been so miserably tired for so long and when I realized I had the energy to run around with my kids again, I couldn’t hold back the tears. I promise you, those tears were not part of a mood swing, but pure gratitude, because this is exactly what I wanted to achieve for me and my family.

I proceeded to purchase the 90-day supply after my success with the 30-day free trial. Now, I still did experience a few mood swings and hot flashes, but there were not nearly as many of these episodes as before I started.

In addition, the product requires a 90-day break before continuing the course. I was a little concerned that those horrible symptoms would return before I started the next course, but nearly three months into the break, I still felt great. I still had the energy to do my day-to-day things, like keeping up with the kids and maintaining my household, and I felt amazing. Before I found this wonder of nature, I never would have thought that I would feel like my old self ever again. Thanks to Amberen, I have my life back.

My Final Thoughts

I recommend Amberen to anyone suffering from menopauseI am convinced that Amberen is the real thing (for me anyway). It made a significant difference in my menopausal symptoms. I will continue the treatment, and I suggest this product to anyone experiencing menopause problems. The ingredients does do what it says it will.

If it wasn’t for the Risk-Free Trial they offer, I may have never tried it. Thanks Amberen!

Thanks so much to all of you who left your personal comments below who have tried it or are thinking of trying. It makes me feel wonderful knowing that my experience with this product has also helped others. The community would love to hear your story. We all can learn from one another!

About Elizabeth Perkins

I have to admit... I'm a bit of a perfectionist and it may just show in my contributions on the site. I think it's a great quality buy my husband seems to differ sometimes. We have two boys still living at home, one is in college, the other has no idea what he wants to do! My passion in life is cooking and at the end of each day you can find me on my back deck sipping some wine and just taking it easy! I love finding bargains (but I HATE cheap). Nothing rubs me more the wrong way than when something doesn't work! That might just be the "perfectionist" in me.

Comments

  1. I am 53 and I went through menopause about 4 years ago. I know this sounds odd but I don’t really have hot flashes much nor night sweats….But I have gained weight. I am an instructor for Operation Boot Camp and the weight gain at the belly is still hanging on. I also have brain fog and forget words. Most of the replies have talked about hot flashes. Has anyone seen a change in their weight gain with Amberen?

  2. amazing stuff thanx

  3. thanks !! very helpful post!

  4. What about the physical problems of menopause such as kidney infections and thinning of the uteral lining? I was having bladder/kidney infections left and right until I began 1 gm of Premarin vaginal cream. After seven months -my OBGYN is taking me off because of side effects and she’s recommending Amberen instead. Will it also help with kidneys and the physical problems?

  5. Hi Melody..

I would definitely call Amberen’s hotline. Several of my friends had similar questions such as yours and were very pleased with their knowledge and support they received.

  6. Thank you so much for providing this info! I was trying to find something natural to take for my menopausal symptoms due to breast cancer running in my family. I think this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Can’t wait to give it a try…keeping my fingers crossed that it will rid me of my crazy mood episodes and restore a bit more normalcy back to my life. I’ll be sure to update you all with my experience!

  7. Hi Melody,
I would call Amberen directly. They have nurses available that would be able to answer any questions and or concerns you may have. I have called and spoken to a nurse and she was very helpfull.

  8. Several ladies have mentioned the inability to take HRT because of an increased risk of breast cancer and breast cancer running in the family. I’m in the same situation. But…doesn’t amberen increase your own estrogen production? Won’t that be just as much of a concern? My sister’s breast cancer was estrogen sensitive and they told her to even stay away from soy – also natural. Just wondered cause I bought the Amberen and still have some concerns.

  9. Reply to Jan:
I started going through menopause a little over a year ago and weight gain (35 pounds in one year!)and mood were my main symptoms. Literally, during the first week of taking Amberen that dark cloud moved out. On week three now, and brighter days are still dawning….AMEN! My children were saying, “That’s all you do is yell.” That’s when I knew I had to do something. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the weight will start dropping, too. Thank you, Amberen!

  10. I have been taking Amberen for about a years time. I decided to come off of it since I hadnt before. After a month’s time, I had to re-order since the hot flashes, anxiety and lack of libido had returned.

  11. Living with menopause and estrogen dominance is not easy. I took a saliva test (which is suppose to be the most accurate for checking hormones) and my estrogen was low-normal. My period came (after 2 years of not having a period) and it was decided that low-normal was normal for me and I am just on bio-identical progesterone. And feeling great. Others did not work for me because of the estrogen I think. I will start Amberen in a few days.

  12. My mum suffers from the menopause terribly and has done for years. I don’t like to see her like this because she is tired and irritable all the time. She has tried so many herbal remedies are you saying that this will definitely help her. I think I might get her some and report back in 90 days to let you know the results. Thanks for a great post

  13. Cheryl Diamond says:

I just wanted to let women know going through menopause, it is a difficult transition. Amberern does work in the beginning, however, I am on my 4th round, and it does not work as good as it used to. It is much more difficult to lose this unwanted weight.

Just remember if you lose weight, try real hard not to gain it back, because it gets tougher to lose the second time around.

I never had nite sweats or hotflashes, so I cannot tell you how it works on that.

  14. Kimberly says:

I am 54 and have been on the Amberen regimen for 2 years now. After suffering through waking several times per night feeling like I’m on fire, along with hot flashes, dryness, itchy-ness, and the general feeling of malaise, Amberen has been a Godsend, it allows me to feel like myself again! I have had no side effects. Just for the record I also tried Menozac with no results.

  15. Mary Anne Plewa says:

Could you please e-mail me a complete list of ingredients on Amberen. I am going to my GYN on Friday 3/18/11 and would like my doctor to see it before I begin. thank so much. This sounds like the natural wonder vitamin.

  16. Hi Joy!

I wish you and your mother much luck! I truly believe in Amberen as it has helped me tremendously. Please let us all know after 90 days! Thanks!

  17. I went thru the first 3 months and it was the best. Hot flashes completely stopped (I was having 3-4 an hour) and brain fog vanished. No help with weight loss though. Could only go thru a month off without the flashes starting up again. Now in my 2nd 3 months of ‘on’ Amberen, I’m not having much luck. The flashes are coming back and sometimes with a vengence. Hard to sleep again and the brain fog is back. I keep thinking it will get better but so far it’s not.

  18. This is in reply of Debbie’s comment. I would strongly urge you to give Natural Relief a try. I use it and it works for me. Ask my husband! LOL… no more throwing the covers on him in the middle of the night!

  19. Karen Stewart says:

I have been taking Amberen for 34 days now. I am in surgical menopause following a total hysterectomy last November. Shortly after surgery I began having intense hot flashes and night sweats along with memory loss, the inability of completing sentences, anxiety attacks, heart palpatations, and irritability. I really thought I was going crazy. I heard about Amberen while listening to the radio on the way to work. I was having yet another intense hot flash and the commercial said, “are you tired of hot flashes?” I got to work and ordered the product. One week into taking two pills a day, the anxiety attacks and heart palpatations went away. I am able to make presentations at work without saying the wrong word or having an extended period of silence when I search my confused mind for the next sentance. I feel “normal” again but….the hot flashes are still there. Women with surgical menopause were not included in the study so I am curious if Amberen will be able to stop the flashing since I do not have ovaries. The relief from the other symptoms are encouraging enough for me to continue through the 90 supply. Here is hoping an end to the hot flashes soon.

  20. I’m 58 and have used Amberin for 90 days now… I felt instant relief in terms of my mood. Happier, less stressed and more my old self. Just wanted ti share. Using your code you found too on my next order, lol!

  21. I am a breast cancer survivor, and my tumor was estrogen fed. Is Amberen recommended for cases like this?

  22. Hi Karen! I would call their number and talk with a nurse Amberen offers.

  23. i’m having a real hard time with my menopause, I’m onlly41 years old and had to have a complete hysterectomy a year and a half ago and it seems like my systems are getting worse, I’ve gained 15 pounds and i know it doesn’t seem like allot but i had gastric bypass three years before that and lost all my weigh. So gaining weigh make my mood swings even worse. I don’t sleep good at night, and i know it’s hard on my family with my moods being they way they are. I’m going to order amberen. Please wish me luck.

  24. April F. says:

After thoroughly reading over all the positive Menozac reviews I could find and then actually getting great results with the supplement. I truly do think they have a great product on their hands.

  25. Thank you so much for the relief. I Did the three months and was thrilled, no hot flashes to speak of. I ran out, my husband also lost his job. I did not want to spend the money, then the hotflashes returned with a vengences. Well needless to say I have to have more!!!! I need to function at work and this really made the difference. Thank you. (Did not find it helpful with many of my other symptoms)
